Property Tax ValuationYou view your home the same way as the county assessor does??
Property tax in New Mexico has certainly been an interesting subject over the last few years. Prior to December 2004 there were no requirements for disclosure of actual sale price to the Bernalillo county assessors office which lead to some valuations which may not have been accurate. From January 1, 2005 forward the title companies are required to report actual sales price to the Bernalillo county assessors office which has caused a huge increase in taxes if your home had not been assessed for many years. Contact Michael Dunn if you are curious about the actual value of your home and would like him to review the value with you to let you know if it may be worth it to contest your taxes or not. He is more than happy to do this for you FREE of charge. The process is quite simple and could save you some money on your property taxes! 1st step is to contact Michael and see if the value is correct or not Q. What is a Notice of Valuation? Q. What does my property valuation mean? Q. What is taxable value? Q. How is the value of my property determined by the Assessor?
